The Travel - Flights to Costa Rica

The travel from Europe varies from 14 to 20 hours based on prices, routes and stops. Currently there are not direct flights linking Costa Rica and Italy.

However, there are alternative routes, with stops in Spain (Iberia), Germany (Condor), Belgium (JetAir direct flight to Liberia, Guanacaste), Mexico (Air France and KLM), Panama (KLM), USA (Martinair, KLM, Lufthansa and major U.S. companies) and Venezuela (LACSA-Alitalia, Air France and Lufthansa).

In Switzerland, there is a daily flight to Zurich via Dallas, where the transfer to San Jose is made. From Brussels, SN Brussels Airlines offers two daily flights via Miami. Iberia offers a daily nonstop flight from Madrid, in correspondence with Rome and 12 provincial capitals in Italy. Condor of Frankfurt in Germany comes out on Wednesdays and Sundays, returning on Monday and Thursday, with flights on a stopover in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.

JetAir offers direct connections from Brussels to Liberia, Guanacaste Air Canada flies directly to San Jose from Toronto three times a week. Costa Rica has seven hours of delay with respect to Central European Time, equivalent to GMT -6. In summer the difference with CET is 8 hours
